Norwegian Cruise Line

Norwegian Dawn
by Trish Connolly

Having sailed Norwegian 2 years ago, I was looking forward to the same excellent service, entertainment and food. I was deeply disappointed in each on the Dawn.

The food was mediocre except in the restaurants that you had to pay extra for. The freestyle buffets had tons of food but it was typically the same fare everyday. The specialty restaurants appeared to be one of the only places where the service was any good.

Room service was horrible. Most times you couldn't reach them and then when you did, you would wait almost 2 hours for cold food.

Our waiter at the pool was great! But the entertainment was almost non-exsistent. There were no games with the guests poolside -- not like previous cruises where they would do so many games and poolside activities.

They did have a band that played for a bit by the pool, but nothing like the entertainment I have seen on other ships.

The overall feeling by our large group was that we would cruise again, but not on Norwegian.
