311 will perform its newest hit album ‘SOUNDSYSTEM’ in entirety for the first time on a 4-night Jamaica cruise
The multi-platinum album awarded rock band 311 is proud to announce the 311 Caribbean Cruise 2015 – Soundsystem Jamaica. The four-day festival at sea will take place aboard Norwegian Pearl, setting sail from Miami, Florida to Ocho Rios, Jamaica from February 25 - March 1, 2015. It is sponsored by Sixthman, Productions, a top music theme cruise creator and a subsidiary of Norwegian Cruise Line.
311 will perform three entirely different shows, including a show to feature the 1999 hit album Soundsystem played in its entirety, from start to finish, for the first time. Soundsystem’s artwork, songs and album title were all inspired by the band member’s personal travels to Jamaica in the '90's.
311 vocalist/guitarist Nick Hexum said, "The 311 Cruise is just such an amazing experience for us and our fans. The energy and unity on the ship is always incredible. We especially can't wait to go to Jamaica this time and to play Soundsystem in its entirety. It's a dream trip for us and our fans."
Other bands already scheduled to appear on the same cruise include Dirty Heads and Pepper, but a full lineup of bands, DJs and comedians will be announced in the weeks to come.
In the primary port stop of Ocho Rios, Jamaica, guests can look try incredible shore excursions like scuba diving, white water rafting and zip line adventures through the lush jungle outback of Jamaica. The ship, Norwegian Pearl, includes 15 decks of dining and entertainment, 13 bars and lounges, 19 dining experiences, one outdoor pool, hot tubs, and an award-winning spa. Guests can also visit the ship’s outdoor climbing wall, shoot some hoops on the sports court, bowl a few frames at the onboard bowling alley or try and tempt lady luck at the Pearl Club Casino.
