Celebrity Solstice will be sailing her first cruise from a U.S. port on November 30, 2008. This is three weeks earlier than expected, and the new release date was just announced last week!
Many people have already paid well over $1000 for a berth on what was supposed to be her first U.S. cruise on Dec. 14, but now that the ship is coming early those people have been offered the chance to transfer to the sailing one week earlier (Dec 7). But CruiseMates has secured group space on the first-ever U.S. sailing of this ship, November 30.
Celebrity Solstice is arguably the most important new ship release in years. It is the first ship in a whole new class for Celebrity Cruises since 2000, and it is the first new class of ships for any cruise line in years now. Solstice represents the first of the next generation of cruise ships to be introduced in the next five years in our opinion.
And our group space can be had for a song! Balcony Cabin prices start at $749 pp for a one week cruise, East Caribbean roundtrip Fort Lauderdale. All we have are balcony cabins; eight different categories including S2 suites. See the CruiseMates Solstice Cruise Details here. You even get a $100 per cabin shipboard credit.
The price includes port charges, but taxes and fuel surcharges are additional. Prices are per person - based on double occupancy. A $250 deposit per person holds your cabin.

Royal Caribbean: 1-800-Royal Caribbean
Celebrity Cruises' 122,000-ton Celebrity Solstice is arguably the most exciting new ship set to debut this year, since it has the only completely new design, from bow to stern, introduced by any cruise line in 2008. Solstice will have a deck devoted to suites, centered on a private pool area just for those suite passengers. Celebrity is now taking culinary cues from Elizabeth Blau, who gained fame bringing gourmet cuisine to Las Vegas.
The cabins, designed by a team of five women, average 15 percent larger than other Celebrity ships, The space is well utilized and the cabins feel much bigger than others. Other additions include muted colors, foot supports in the showers for easy shaving of legs, more closet space with modular design capabilities, and more space under the bed for storage.
