We have dropped them off a couple of times but mostly keep the carry-on which is a backpack with documents/meds/bathing suit. Everything else is packed and checked.
The Fascination and Triumph were easy to drop off as we were either above Lido or on Lido. The lower decks seem to be a bit harder.
