Default Vancouver transfer

I did not book air through the cruise line. Therefore, I was wondering if I should arrange transfer through the cruise line from airport to pier or if it would be better to do my own transportation. Does anyone know the cost of a taxi from Vancouver airport to Canada Place?

I don't know about from Vancouver, but from Seward, I would definitely book the transfer from them, since they give you luggage tags and your bags are taken directly from the plane to the ship without having to lug them around. But I'm not sure if that requires the air package.

Check with your TA and see if you can have them do that. It's a great service.

Friends of ours went in June. They took a taxi from the airport directly to the cruise terminal (about $20, I think). They got right on the ship before the busses ever got there. We would probably do that except we're going a day early.

You can buy a hotel shuttle ticket to take you to the Pan Pacific Hotel that IS located in Canada Place where your ship will be waiting for you. It only costs $8.00 per person American. Most cruise ships charge $16.00 per person. But if you have lots of luggage it is better to buy the transfer because the cruise ship will take it directly to the ship from the airport.

A taxi is very easy and fast both directions - airport/Canada Place. A taxi for two was about C$28.00 or about US$20.00 including tip. There was not line for a taxi leaving the ship - lots are available, and loading was fast and easy - the same for arrival.
