We were going May 16 Dawn Princess to Alaska and was wondering if we brought a light jacket and heavy sweat shirts that would be okay instead of a heavy winter jacket? We are doing helicopter to glaciers and dogsleeding. THanks.
I believe I already posted but where did it go??? Anyway- you need layers, mid May is iffy, can be cold, but leave the winter coat at home, better is a lined lightweight jacket, sweatshirts, turtlenecks etc. knit hat and gloves a must.
