Shortest cruise -- a "freebie" on NCL, pulled out of Long Beach, circled around overnight, pulled back into Long Beach. Amazing cruise. Some people simply did not go to bed! Just sitting in the bar and watching the drunken fools was ample entertainment, no show needed.
Longest cruise -- just got back from it, 18 nights from Sydney around Australia and the Great Barrier Reef, then up through Indonesia with Komodo, Bali and Java, ending in Singapore. My shortest cruise was also that one day (Maine to Nova Scotia.
We have done three 11 day cruises all in the Caribbean.

Longest was 15 days to Hawaii. Shortest was seven days in Caribbean and Mexico (I think). I remember we did a reunion cruise, and that could have been a shorter one. We haven't done any coastal (three and four days) cruises, though.
Shortest - overnight in the Port of Long Beach (never sailed).
Oops, I guess my shortest cruise is really when we boarded Sunday afternoon around 1600, spent the night in port in Athens awaiting "pod" engineers, and learned Monday monring at 0900 that our cruise was cancelled. We did stay on ship until Thursday when we could get air home but ship just moved a couple hundred yards to a different pier.

Longest 18 days: Baltic and Northern Europe.
Shortest 5 days: CM Cruise of the Century.
Though the Century cruise was wonderful and I had a great chance to meet many Cruisemates it cemented the fact that it isn't worth it to cruise for less than seven days.
We have done pre and post cruise stays in the ports for as much as a week. We went into Hong Kong five days before our cruise and REALLY loved it.

Very nice ,we did it with our 2 year old daughter .Alas,she has no memories and has never cruised since .My other child will take her first cruise this summer.
We did that cruise ( Maine to NS ) with my two daughters and they had a good time.

My shortest was 4 days aboard the Mardi Gras, that was my first cruise, and my longesrt was 14 days aboard the Ryndam, that was my most favorite cruise!!
