A heroic rescue at sea

From the Independence of the Seas. After reading this amazing rescue story, I just wonder, how come the landing pad was not strong enough to handle the rescue helicopter...Kudos to all involved, and, hope the passenger made it.

Kudos to all involved - makes me wonder though whether ship builders are taking modern aviation in account when building landing pads on these ships.

Most military copters will not land on pads on ships other then

military vessels. They prefer to winch the patient up to the

helicopter. My friend flies a SAR (Search & Rescue) bird.

military if it has a pad on board.
