We plan on renting a car in St. Maarten. Will a U.S. Driver's license work for driving there or do you need an international driver's license? Also, do you book the car, Jeep, etc. ahead of time or do you rent when you get off ship?? Any help will be appreciated.
You can book right there at the pier and a US DL is sufficent. If you book prior you oft times can get a better deal if you book through the International # with the larger companies. This is not ALWAY true but it was for us when we rented for a week while in Playa Del Carmen, we saved over 50% than what they wanted locally at the same company.
