Default Cabin on Upper Deck or Lower Deck?

Booked a quaranteed balcony on the Glory 12/3 sailing. However when I check what appears to be left of the dabins I will be faced with something on the 6000 toward aft. If I pay $100 more according to the travel agent they will put me in a cabin on 10000. Should I do this? I do not want to have the noise that could possibly be associated with the 6000 but am unsure if I will be bothered by the motion the higher up and more forward. What is your opinion?

Not sure what "noise" you are anticipating being in an aft cabin. We returned from the Miracle in an aft balcony and didn't notice anymore noise than mid-ship on our last cruise.

I would think theres more noise in the middle of the ship as thats where the concentration of people are. Weve usually gotten a cabin near the aft and I can say theres less traffic back that way since the only people back there are ones who have a cabin there. We also prefer to be higher up since its closer to the pools, cafe, etc. When the elevators are jammed (another benefit to being aft since the midship ones get crammed often) its one or two flights up the stairs to the pool. As for the motion. we dont notice it unless its really rough. Todays ships are so big you hardly feel it, unless youre really prone to motionsickness.

its total personal preference on your part. The higher you go the more motion you will feel, but the higher deck cabins are closer to all the centers of activitity. We prefer mid-ships to aft cabins on a mid or lower deck.
