Phillip Island Suggestions?

Our cruise from Sydney to Auckland on the Celebrity Millenium stops at Phillip Island from 5:00 PM until midnight. The only offering from the cruise line is a trip to watch the penguins. I'm not all that excited about that one.

I am a photographer and I see we will have sun until about 8:30 PM. Can anyone make any suggestions for any interesting photo locations. Or, failing that, what other things might we want to consider around the town. I believe the ship tenders at Cowes.

Phillip island has a great atmosphere for young people in the caravan parks. Beaches and hot weather is the main attraction to the Mornington Peninsula. Also this Island is the home to many cool climate wineries which produce full fruit flavoured wines.
