My wife and I will be cruising Eastern Caribbean in Feb, and have been talking about visiting a "clothing optional" beach.Neither of us are "kinky" or "sleazy".More like "adventuress".We just want to come home and say"Been there! Done that!" Problem being we dont have a clue where to go or what to expect(besides the obviuos of course lol!) Any info, destinations or first hand experiences would be greatly appreciated! See Ya on the islands! (You wont recognize us though!)
Hi Plumberv,
By chance are you stopping in St. Maarten? If so, grab a cab and go out to "Orient" beach. There are really 2 beaches right next to each other, one is for the general public and you can go topless and the other is part of a nudist colony.
You can actually go to any one of the 2 beaches and its really a nice place.
There are tons of water sports you can do.
BTW, what cruise ship are you going on and when? Enjoy!
Hi Plumberv,
What are the ports? I know Victory also does a western itinary. Actually thats the only clothing optional beach that I know of, but sure there are more out there.
We will be visiting San Juan,St.Thomas,St.Croix and St.Johns.would also be interested to hear about anything else to do at these ports besides the above topic. Thanks.
Regarding Orient Beach, St. Martin -
We'd like to take a cab to the beach from the pier. How much does it cost each way? Are there cabs around when it's time to head back? Are there beach chairs available to rent?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Margold,
Yes, there are plenty of taxi's at the pier to take you out to Orient beach, think the fare was $15-20. If you find another couple to go, you can split the costs. As for finding a cab for the trip back to the pier, yes, they are also waiting around at the beach to take you back and you may also find some people to share the ride with, we were able to do that and then the cost back was only $5.00 per person. You can also pre-arrange with the first driver to come back at a certain time and pick you up if you wish to do that. As for loungers on the beach, they are all over and the cost was $6.00 that included a drink. You should not have a problem getting some of those, in fact they will most likely ask you. Hope you make it out there, its a great beach with a lot of water activities too.
On Antigua is Hawksbill Resort beach #4 is clothing optional, but nothing else to do there, other than be naked and soak in the sun. The water was too rough to snorkel
