hi all....26 days till my honeymoon cruise on the inspiration (apr 25)!!!! im very excited...i am a 1st timer and had a question about the gifts that people can buy for you for your stateroom...i have already bought the honeymoon decoration for our room (i thought it would be cute)....what do you all think about some of the other gifts that carnival offers....coupons...canapes..other things...my family wanted to know what they could get us too....thanks so much
i think the photo vouchers would be nice. before i didn't think i would be very interested in purchasing photos from the ship, as i could take photos with my own camera. but some turned out wonderfully and we came home with lots. the formal photos can get quite pricey ($20 each for one 8x10), but if they turn out well, you will want them. hope this helps.
Anyone can purchase gift certificates from Carnival on their web site for you...they sell them in different denominations, $25, $50, etc., then when you get on board, take them to the Pursur's Desk and they will apply it to your Sail & Sign account...that way, you can use it for absolutely anything you purchase on the ship (souvenirs, alcoholic beverages, Dining Room tips, Room Steward tips, bingo, shore excursions, casino gambling), anything that is charged to your Sail & Sign card.
I surprised my DH with the High Seas Anniversary Gift package. It came with 2 Carnival tee shirts (which I love as a nightshirt), 2 Carnival visors, 4 bar coupons (DH took them), photo coupon, a camera (it takes terrible pictures, but you get a roll of film also--I waited until I got home to use the camera), 2 engraved anniversary flutes, which we are still using and a bottle of champagne to go with the flutes. We exchanged the champagne for a bottle of wine. They offer this package for Honeymooners also. I think it was about $75.00 but I thought it was worth it. (separately--the photo is about $15.00, the champagne/wine is about $25.00 and the bar coupons are about $20.00) It came gift boxed and was waiting in our cabin when we arrived. My DH loved it and was very surprised.
Hi Kelly,
Just another thought, but they can get you some onboard credit that you can use as you wish, for purchases, excursions, etc. My daughter did that for us once and it was really nice to start a cruise and already have a credit balance...
My son ordered an anniversary cake for us on our last cruise. It was the chocolate mousse cake and was FABULOUS!!

hey there a little food for thought, the sife and i are going on a cruise apr 10th our 20th wedding anniversary, anyway don't know what your budget is, wife and i booked a room with a view, ha, a balcony room, priced it, priced anniversary package and wine package, after all was said and done, for a $150 more we changeour reservation to a suite, includes fresh fruit, canapes every morning in the room, 24hr butler service, plus full menu items not just burgers and grilled cheese sandwiches, and a reservation at one of the premier restaurant, normally $25 reservation fee, you don't pay for the meal, it is included like any other meals. so i would think about the pro's and con's as to how much all the little extras are goingto cost, you make the call, either way you will have a great time whatever you guys decide
I would order the Chocolate covered Strawberries they are out of this world. we have had them in our room at the start of the cruise each time. We also like the champagne for the sail away party. If yoy have any left have roomservice bring orange Juice and make mamosa's OJ and champagne mixed good for breakfast.
