question about gold carnival cards and carnival ships

Don't ask me why --- but I am working towards the platnium card...lol. Have 5 cruises under the belt (actually 7, but only 5 that counted since program started). Want to continue with carnival and was wondering....doesn't other ships count towards these platnium statis? Like Princess, etc?? What other ships? Thanks!

I am not sure if cruises on Carnivals parent lines count to the Platinum status. I was wondering when the program started I was on my 15 Carnival cruise this year and only got a gold card. I am going on another and hope I get the platinum. If you know more information post it.

You should have that platinum card by now!! I do not even know the benifits of it. I believe they told me it was started in 2000, but not sure. So, the cruises before it doesn't count -- which really sucks, huh!

I was never informed that gold sign and sail was anything special other than we are not a first time guest (whome received red,white & blue sign and sail card.) Anyone more knowledge on this?

a red, white and blue one means its the first sailing of that passenger.

0-4 is blue and red, 5-9 is gold and 10+ is platnium. I do not beliueve it counts towards any cruies other than CCL itself. The do count all cruises you have done as they have counted mine since 1996. You can go to thier website and check the cruises they have listed for you and update that list. It is often wrong when they first enter the cruises so you need to go and have it updated properly.

Reminds me, I need to update my wifes as they had her as gold and me platnium. She wanted to know what cruises I had been on without her We have both been on 17 or 18

Ah....they don't count for earlier tho -- been on some in the 80's and they didn't count. Darn!! 17-18 cruises with Carnival!! Do you get tired of the same ol activites on the boat?

cherylroy, my wife and I will be going on our 19th cruise with
17 being on carnival. our last cruise on carnival was on the
destiny in nov.2004 and our next is nov.12,2005 on the liberty.
my sign&sail card on the destiny was red,white and blue so this
program with the different cards had to start sometime after
de. 2004. I will post as to which card I received after my sailing
on the liberty.

No Chery, usually on differant ships. Even 9on the ones we have been on before many of the staff have changed. As for entertainment yes we do see the same acts as they move them from one ship to another. A number of the performers have actually become friends over the years. We also cruise other lines but CCL is the normal one because of deals we can get and crew that we wish to sail with again.

I got back yesterday from the Conquest. All 3 of us got the gold card. It was only the 2nd Carnival cruise for one in our group. We were told that the red, white and blue cards were for all 1st time Carnival guests and the gold for 2-9. After 10 it was platinum.

Only a few of my cruises were showing up on the website history. It turned out, everyone in my family had several past guest numbers. I sent an email to MBeattie@carnival.com and listed all of our past cruises.

She updated our histories the same day. The only cruises that are not shown now are cruises before 1990.
