Personally, I just couldn't be bothered to walk all the way back to my room to get a refill. HAHAHA I made a few drinks to sip on the balcony but bought where I was the rest of the time. It just wasn't worth the hassle.

The whole thread turned into one big off topic personal attack and the entire thread was pulled. Continued personal attacks will have the same result. If you can't respond without answering the question or debating the opinion or topic without attacking the individual or resorting to name calling then don't respond.
I will place the original post back on the board but if the same results occur it, will be pulled.
Take care,
Mike

I thought it was prohibited to bring any alcohol on board excepting declared wine in which you must pay a $10 corkage fee to imbibe.
I have never cruised, however I have been reading everything I can and my understanding was no alcohol other than the wine. (or if you buy some on a shore excursion, the ship keeps it for you until you disembark)
So please tell me which is right!
I really need to know so I don't do the wrong thing.
Thanks bunches!

WooHoo!!!
PurplePrincess, you are correct. It is against CCL policy to allow any alcohol to be brought on board except a bottle or two of fine wine or champaign. All those sneaking their liquor on board are breaking the rules. Granted the drinks are expensive on board, but CCL makes the rules and we are expected to follow them.
That is right, none of this thread ever had anything to do with free drinks that I read. It was someone looking for something they must have deleted. Only free drink I have gotten on Carnival is at the past cruisers reception, art auction, or just making friends with the bar tenders.
Princess - Yes, you are allowed to bring a bottle or two of wine or champagne, as well as a reasonable amount of soft drinks. However, beer and liquor are not allowed. If you purchase any wine or liquor in ports, they will be held for you until you reach your homeport.
Doug - What's with the cut out photo glued to a wagon got to do with cruising?

14 Carnival cruises
3 Princess cruises
2 HAL cruises
2 NCL cruises
3 RCL cruises
All fantastic voyages!
Just an FYI, you only have to pay a corkage fee to drink your own wine in the dining room. There is no rule that prohibits you from consuming wine in your cabin. I always pack an inexpensive cork screw (checked luggage if you are flying) along with my fine wine.
You can bring any kind of wine. I don't drink wine, but from the posts here many people bring the boxed wine, which I (JMO ) wouldn't consider fine wine .
You won't wear us out with questions! We love "newbies" and you won't be one after your cruise!
Have a wonderful cruise!
