We have a group of 50 on a charter bus from Baton Rouge boarding the Conquest on 5/20/07. We may be really wrong but I think we are going to try to be there at 11:00 am. If someone has better info, please share!

We like to arrive around 11 also. There are alot of chairs where they stage you for boarding but it can get crowded quickly.

Once on board you have time to go to the excursion desk and fill out the forms and reserve your favs, if you didn't do it online ahead of time. Don't forget to look at your dinner time and maybe stop at the pursers desk for any changes you need to make.

Then head to the Lido deck for drinks and people watch!

We cruised on Ecstasy in July. We were there by 11 and on the ship by 12:30. The only drawback -- we parked in the EZ Cruise parking and they don't start shuttles to the ship until 1 or so. They said that this was at the request of Carnival. It was not a problem. My husband just dropped us off at the dock w/our luggage, went back and parked and walked back to the ship. Didn't really take him long at all.

Man, I'm glad I saw the last post. We use EZ to park during our cruises. They used to take you to the ship when you arrived since what they were already ferrying folks debarking TO their cars and having to make the return trip anyway. Why make the return trip empty?
We might look into letting someone else do the driving or do as Texascruiser did and drop off and walk back.

The wife and I always get to port around 11.00 am. This has worked great in New Orleans, Mobile, and Miami. We have always been on the ship and eating lunch by 12 - 12.30.
Happy sailing to all;
David
