Default cruise booking websites...

is there a place you can go, enter in your destinate, travel dates and get a list of all the cruiselines that have a book date to meet your specs - a list that searches ALL the cruiselines AND the various cruise travel agencies?

I think I want to book my next cruise online but want to find the best place to do that to get the cheapest rate.

I use kayak.com.

It is just a compilation of info/prices from other websites.

It is excellent and quick.

A short while ago I wrote a two part series about booking your cruises, with recent changes to cruise line pricing policies.
Here's the link
http://www.cruisemates.com/articles/...ectoragent.cfm

Bottom line, you can no longer find out what an agencies "best price" is simply by visiting their web sites.

Michelle, try Priceline's advanced search engine.

http://www.pricelinecruiseoutlet.com/s/c/search.asp

I've booked 4 cruises through them with no problems but, I'm not advocating you book through them only use their search engine to find the cruise you want. You can search by departure ports, dates, price range, itinerary, cruise lines, etc. The prices on that site should give you a ballpark figure to compare with other recommendations. Myself, I've decided to book the next cruise through Carnival's PVP. I'm surprised you're considering booking another already, I'm betting yah don't come back from the first one!

I would follow Kuki's idea. He is a "world-reknown" traveler and when I have used his suggested TA, I had a great price.

Since I'm cheap I can't book with a PVP and throw money down the drain. A decent travel agent can get you a better deal. Yes I won't be able to call the cruiseline and get answers whenever I want but I'd rather save the money so I'll give up that control.

Whatever works best for you is the way to go.

Thanks, Kuki, looks like it's still a matter of LOTS of research!

I agree with sticking to a travel agent because I have seen them work magic. If ever I found out that the cruise line is beating the rate that I was givin from the cruseline, I'm on the horn getting that straightened out. There is no reason for that. Now, if you are on the internet and see a good quote, that the agent can't beat. Well there are resons for that too but the long run, the sevice will not be there only the rate. Usually, good travel agents can beat and offer better amenties and service once the client tells them which internet site it is and let them check it out.
