A few years ago, we had KC Chiefs photo frame magnets with our nicknames in the middle. "princess catherine" or "King George".
They lasted about a full day, until the guys from Green Bay saw them.
You should consider taking replacements in case the originals get "lost".
We had generic "sea theme" magnets in January, and a couple of them walked off mid week. It really does make finding your cabin easier.

The 26 (13 cabins)of us from Pittsburgh have posters made special for our doors.
They are port holes with STEELERS In the middle. One of the guys going with us is a graphic artist and made them for us. I have puddy to hold them onto the doors.

now if I can only figure out how to post pictures, I would show you
I already have the yellow smiling sun to place on the suite door but found yesterday some awesome cling door decorations at the dollar store yesterday. They were parrots, palm trees, coconuts, hammock, drinks & a sign that said sailing out to the islands etc all on one flat sheet. It does sound funny but its fun!
I don't mean to be negative or anything but this whole thing sounds really silly to me. But whatever floats your boat or ship is my motto!!
Being silly is a good thing.
We have always put stuff on our doors.
Lots of people do and its kind of fun when
you are on your way to your room to see
all the things people put up.
Having a good time is what its all about.
You should try it Johnsmom you might get a kick out of it too..
But its okay if you dont.
To each their own..
Have a good cruise
Just got off the Fantasy on the 10th. We had 17 cabins in our group and all of the doors were decorated. A few people in our group made different items for the door decorations. One was our first names in each cabin printed out on construction paper and stuck to the doors with double sided tape, another was Mardi Gras colored streamers and my sister made different colored bows from ribbons that actually went around and tied in the inside of the cabin. There was a few names missing by the end of the cruise, but all the streamers and bows were still there by debarkation. No complaints about the tape on the doors, although it peeled off rather easy. I have never decorated the OUTSIDE of our door, but did discover early on the fun of collecting refrigerator magnets from all the ports and decorating the inside of the door! They are inexpensive and once we get home we can enjoy them on the fridge at home until we swap them after the next cruise! The grandkids love rearranging the magnet collection on a regular basis! (We also use one of those little magnetic locker cups to keep our key cards and little things in). I am going to try and find some decorations for the outside for our next cruise- it does seem like a fun idea. The DollarTree is a good idea, especially if decorations have a way of wandering at times.
Keep the suggestions coming...
What would you decorate the balcony with?
Probably can't use a candle but maybe one of the battery
operated kind?
My first trip with a balcony in 12 days on the Glory. What other balcony things does one need?
It's fun to decorate the doors. We find so many cute things to put up. Will be doing it again in April 2010. Its my sons 40th birthday cruise. So we will definately fix up his door. We tried to put up flag banners on our balcony's but the winds are too much. and had trouble to hang it up. But we tried. Just wanted to spot our cabin from the docks looking up. Guess what. ? We did see which one was ours anyways. Happy cruising. Have fun always........
