Cabins with connecting door

I have just found out that our cabin has a connecting door with the cabin next door, any one one have any thoughts on this. I am mainly concerned with being able to hear people in the other cabin as there is a door rather than a wall. All opinions would be grateful.

Our family always books rooms with connecting doors. It a big plus. Makes you feel like you have 1 large room

If you and the party in the next cabin are not traveling together, the door will be locked the entire cruise.

The connecting door is no different than connecting doors in adjacent rooms in hotels.

The lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) and I just had a cabin with a connecting door to the one next to us, and we didn't know those folks. We had no problems, (the door is locked from both sides), however, I think we could hear noises from the cabin next door just a bit more than usual. Bottom line is, if you like your cabin, I wouldn't worry about the door.

As the above posters have said, you should have no problem. Just like a balcony divider, it will not be opened unless asked.

Our cabin had connecting doors, but only on our balconies. It was a problem at all. I still don't think we would have heard anything if there would have been a door in the cabin either. Good sound proofing.

You shouldn't hear any more noise than if there was no door, I wouldn't worry about it.
