We are doing the 5 night cruise on the Destiny going out of Miami on 1/12/09. This cruise does Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk and Nassua.
Does anyone have any comments and suggestions on this cruise?
We are going w/another couple and we both have BL guarantee
cabins. This will be our first time on the Destiny. We did this cruise
on the Imagination last year and enjoyed it but the Destiny is a much
bigger ship.
I think you'll like the Destiny's layout better than the Imagination's. My first cruise was Imagination and I thought it was pretty cool.
I've been on the Destiny twice this year. She has some rough spots but all in all is a fantastic ship and I've had the time of my life both times aboard
I echo CutieCat having just sailed her in October and will be on her again in May. The itinerary you have is a very fun one. Half Moon Cay is a great laid back beach day unless you do some the water excursions which are great, Grand Turk - gotta love the Margaritaville pool there AND the water excursions or parasailing. I haven't been to Nassau because our ship had some mechanical problems two years ago. Some day we'll get there. Destiny is larger but not huge and fairly easy to navigate.

We enjoyed Margaritavilla very much when we did this cruise on the
Imagination! That was a lot of FUN! We are just looking forward to doing
the Destiny! We like beaches and this short cruise has great beaches for sure.
Did you experience long lines with this ship, I was wondering with that many more passengers?? It's not a problem as we are on a cruise and that is the BEST part!
I was on the Freedom (which is larger than the Destiny) over Florida's spring break there was a lot of people on the ship, but lines were never that long. You could still always find a seat in the lido deck cafe.

Jim & Julie
you're welcome
here are links to my Destiny galleries if you are interested
there are more passengers and some lines will be long but move fairly quickly. i think the slowest was at lunch embarkation day. hope you have as much fun as we have had on her. looking forward to reviews and pics when you come back
Those are nice pictures! You sure had a good time! This will be our third cruise w/Jim and Julie and we find a way to make our own fun to. Thanks
for sharing the pictures. We are the "older crowd" but on a cruise it seems
the age factor isn't as important. There are no bad cruises, some are more fun, but just being on a ship is what we like! Looking foward to the Destiny!!
Kelli likes the beaches and they are awesome on this cruise!
