Another thing to love about short weekend cruises...no need for more than a carry on. I try and work out every morning at home, so I keep up the routine onboard, I wear my running shoes on embarkation and pack a pair of black heels and sandals. Ditto with Michelle1959 and Wakedreams, I usually just bring a small variety of shorts/capri's/dress pants and I make sure my formal dress is the kind that is wrinkle resistant. I bring two bathing suits that do double duty as the top of one can go with the bottom of another and vice versa, therefore I have 4 bathing suits out of 2. The only thing that kills me is all the stuff we end up bring back with us!
Ohh...I have found that bringing more tops than bottoms is a good idea as you are more likely to spill on your shirt.
We checked our big bag last time (glory 07) as hubby and I shared one but still had our carry on's, we boarded later so we could by-pass the whole "lido deck nightmare." Probably will do the same this time, but since we are sailing out of NO we will most likely eat in the French Quarter prior to boarding to take advantage of some good southern cooking.
