Cabin Selection on Dream ???

I may have missed this on previous postings (if so, sorry for asking again)..looking at Carnival Dream October 2012..deck map shows category 4J is an inside with obstructed view (on deck 10)..is it really ?

also, the much talked about cove balcony cabin..what category is that?

ship board feature wise what is the difference between the Dream and the Liberty ?

Hi Venice,

As far as I can tell, the Cove Balcony's are on the Main Deck, deck 2. We have one booked on the Magic later this year and the Dream and Magic are sister ship's.

It looks like the 4J is an obstructed Ocean View all the way forward on deck 10. It's described as having a picture window. I think you would see one of the forward decks from your window, but I'm not sure.

I don't remember you ever mentioning motion sickness, but I'd avoid the 4J's :eek: !

thanks...i do not have motion sickness problems and in fact, my last two cruises on the Carnival Liberty and Valor we have had cabin # 9209 which is an inside cabin at the very front of the ship and slept like a baby

i'm just surprise the 4J is sold as an inside

It is odd that it's listed under Inside Cabins, but is described as: "Picture Windows (obstructed views)

".

It's also odd that those cabins aren't "clickable" (at least not from my computer!). When I click the other cabins on deck 10, I get a description of the cabin.

We had the cove balcony last April and loved it. I believe it is on deck 5. It's a little bigger than a standard balcony and more private and pretty close to the water line

The Cove Balcony on the Magic is on deck 2 and the balcony's are slightly smaller than the normal balcony's. When we were on the Magic last November we had a Cove Balcony and 3 of the seven nights you could really hear the waves hitting up against the hull. We enjoyed the experience as we had never had a Cove before. Tomorrow we leave on the Magic again and are trying a Spa Interior to get the whole Spa/fitness Center experience.
