Default Embarkation/disembarkation in Jacksonville

We are going out of Jacksonville next Monday and have been told from both hotels I have tried to book park and cruise packages with (and a parking lot at the airport) it is impossible to be taken to the port before 1130 and that no one gets off the ship there prior to 800 or 830am on disembarkation day. We have always went to the port around 1030 and have gotten off the ships and been driving down the road by as early as 800am. I would rather pay for parking and get there and leave at earliest times. Is there any truth to the info I am being given...is there really no such thing as early on and early off? If it is true I want to book the park and cruise and save money. Thanks!

These days cruise ships are disembarking far later due to everyone having to go through customs and immigration.

On Carnival Breeze they didn't even start leaving until almost 8:45 and the last people off were at 10:30.

As far as arriving early - I don't see why it matters. You still have to wait in the terminal to board the ship (especially with these later disembarkations). I suggest you just chill out for an extra hour on shore.

Isn't it better to relax instead of wanting to rush during your vacation?

Unless I'm cutting it close on a flight (and I don't typically because I book a later flight,) I NEVER rush when I'm getting off. People I cruise with have almost DRAGGED me off by my fingernails. I enjoy every last second!
