Default Seven Common Travel Myths

I read an interesting article on forbestraveler called “Seven Common Travel Myths by
Peter Greenberg.

Here is the link if you want to read it;

I all ways thought it was silly that I couldn’t check my email on the pane, but to tell you the truth I think the flight would be horrible if you had to sit next to someone who was talking on the phone the whole time. Hopefully we never do get cell service on planes

Thank you for this post!

I copied and pasted the part about the plane. I will send it to the rest of my group

It was very interesting.

Yeah, it's funny how people think that cell phones will make all the dials in the cockpit spin. Of course, it's no surprise, because every flight attendant spiel implies that it's so. Complete nonsense, or so my son the airline pilot says. But the airlines' watchword is "CYA," so that's that.

But not to worry, they're still screwing around with the idea of building cell sites aboard the planes so that everybody can gab all they want (probably with some rather extreme "roaming" charges). This will, of course result in blood in the aisles. My prediction is that the first homicide will take place in the small, first-class cabin of a narrow-body aircraft where there are usually 8-12 seats. Half the people in those seats are there for peace and quiet, and the other half believe they are privilged and can do anything they want. Not a good combination under the circumstances.

The thought of sitting next to a toddler, saying hi to Daddy from 30,000 feet, a teenager, spilling his/her angst, or a business meeting in the sky, makes me scream just thinking about it....Not sure how long I could hold my tongue:(
