RayB,

Could it be crossing the equator?

On second thought, naw that's not it. King Neptune is much too neat and wouldn't wear a pirate's symbol.

Guess you got this landlubber.

Todd

I believe Todd is correct. Looks a lot better than when I crossed the equator on an aircraft carrier. :o

OK
Todd and Marc are correct. It is a crossing of the equator ceremony that most all cruise ships preform. Helen and I have crossed the Equator many times and they try to put on a show for the passengers. They usually have passengers participate in the ceremony. Lots of goo to spread around the deck that the poor deck hands have to clean up. Almost ever time the CD or Captain is thrown in the pool.

Ray, I just noticed the Volendam cruise on your signature line. We are disappointed that we will not be in Tokyo when you visit. Sure looks like a great itinerary. I am sure you will enjoy your five ports in Japan and all your other unique stops.

Marc--One of the reasons we booked the Volendam is he visits to places in Japan that we have not been to. ---Yes I am disappointed that you and Arlene will be stateside when we arrive in Tokyo.
