Would you dare?
I have seen this a couple of times this week. They just did a segment on the Today show, link below about this. Would this scare the poop out of you, or, would you it! $250.00, with instructions for 90 minutes.

Jet Pack Thrill Ride Opens In Key West

Manuel July 10th, 2011 09:30 AM

I'm sure that it would be a lot of fun, but I will pass it up.

Moiraine July 10th, 2011 09:37 AM

Looks like lots of fun. I'd love to do it. Truth is I'd be chicken.

Marc July 10th, 2011 09:54 AM

Sounds like fun to me; need to check it out next time in Key West.

nlb1050 July 10th, 2011 10:34 AM

The clip i saw had the person barely getting up then crashing down. So no I would not even think about doing it.

Phil&Liz July 10th, 2011 10:48 AM

I would do it.

Parasailing seems more dangerous to me and I've done that 3 times.

I would like to have one of these in my city, too...FlowRider and FlowBarrel at Wave House | Wave House San Diego

JH has implied that something similar is coming to the Carnival Breeze.

Nancy, I think that was probably one of the instructors proving you could actually go in/under the water on the thing and back up!

When I next get Artrail Fib, it would probably solve it instantly!rofl

What a great idea... I would sign up in a heart beat w/out need for TP !!!

I would be willing to gamble that this activity will start to be growing in other caribbean ports of call in the near future.

Mike M July 10th, 2011 11:46 AM

I can't say. There is a lot more that can go wrong with this than parasailing. Pay the extra $20 and get the good rope. :D

However, it doesn't look like you really get high enough for the impact to kill you if you lose water pressure. Just break a few bones or knock you unconscious.

I'd have to watch more than a promotional video before I could commit.

Take care,

Looks like Jenna works out. Did you see them arms!?

Trip July 10th, 2011 03:12 PM

She does bigtime. A while back she put her cohost Lester thru her regime, and he was ready to die...she is a tough cookie!

Fern July 10th, 2011 08:59 PM

Not a snowball's chance! I might want to watch, though :) .

Lakers Fan July 10th, 2011 09:44 PM

I'll pass on this .

Luanne Russo July 11th, 2011 07:55 PM

It looks like fun.

Trip July 11th, 2011 08:05 PM

Looking at Jenna'a amazing uppere body strength, and seeing how difficult it was at the beginning, if you don' t have that, I could see lots of pain here.

It looks like it has more to do with your balance than your strength...kinda like a Segway.
