Default Happy cinco de Mayo

Good morning Mates

I hope that you all have a nice day.

Keith, may you reach your destination safe and sound and find everything OK when you get home.

Today, Mrs. TM is going to get a procedure where they some of her blood then inject it in a certain spot to help heal that area. Time will tell if that works.

TM

We will soon be on the road for our final leg of the drive. It is raining, cool and windy which will slow us down some. Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Morning Manuel and all. Last year I celebrated Cinco de Mayo at preschool with a Mexican hat, poncho, piņata, music, and special snack. Sometimes I miss those days, but just the fun, not the hard work!

Keith, I hope by the time you get home the rain has stopped and the water levels have gone down. Safe travels!

Judy in answer to your question yesterday "what am I reading?" the answer is "anything I can get my hands on". Right now the library has a display of books about mothers for Mother's Day. I grabbed a bunch and they all seem to be about adopted children, children in foster care, or children brought up in orphanages mostly in Ireland and England. They are a bit depressing, shocking, but at the same time interesting.
How is your knee feeling today?

I am off soon for line dancing, followed by some more clean up at the Ship, then a visit to a friend this afternoon. Weather is nice one more day, then the deluge starts tomorrow...

Default Happy Cinco de Mayo

Good morning. Looks like the sun slept in. It's just now yawning and coming out.

The knee? Sore. Dr. says six to eight weeks and to stay off of it. Yeah, right! Six to eight weeks of no housework, no ironing? Ain't gonna happen.
I need a housekeeper and maid. Yeah, right!

No special plans for today, maybe lunch at the local Mexican restaurant.

Judy

Good morning. Well I woke to thunder but went right back to sleep and I needed it as it was 3 before I fell asleep this morning, but I ended up getting 5 hours. We aregetting rain but it is very light. Hoping it ends soon. Other than watching NASCAR nothing planned. I do have a load of laundry in and that will be my day.

Judy stay off your feet as much as possible so your leg can heal.

All have a great day

Default Cinco de Mayo here in Mexico!

Today we are headed to a Cinco de Mayo/birthday party at my friends' Marty and Antonio. They live about an hour away from Pátzcuaro in a beautiful pueblito near Lake Zirahuen. They have a ranchito with lots of horses, dogs and cats too!

Cinco de Mayo is not a big holiday in Mexico. (Only in the U.S. and the city of Puebla, Mexico.) Independence in Mexico is actually 15th of September.

But Marti likes to celebrate it because it is her birthday as well. Felix Campleanos a Marti!

I cannot recall ever celebrating Cinco de Mayo but it may be a memory lapse.

I always love to have an excuse to celebrate something. Mexican restaurants usually have fun events on Cinco de Mayo and since my Mom was Latin American, I feel close to the Mexican culture.
Mrs. TM was able to go to out for a meal after her medical procedure, so we went and had a Mexican lunch. Of course I had Mexican beer as well.

Have a nice evening, folks.
