Clothing question
When you are on a Caribbean cruise and go off the ship ,whether you are touring on your own or taking a shore excursion do you wear shorts or jeans ?

Henry,
Should be nice and warm....I'd be in shorts for sure, and sandals, or a nice comfortable shoe for walking, etc. Just be comfortable...

It's the tropics, so, most people dress to be comfortable in the heat, and humidity, so I vote shorts.

I'm not comfortable in shorts, so I wear skorts (shorts with a short skirt over them).
It's
way too hot for jeans
. Shoe wise, I prefer walking shoes and socks to sandels on an excursion.

I wear shorts, just like I have been doing every day since I moved to Florida.
The only time that I took a pair of jeans on a cruise was to Alaska.

Yes, you can wear whatever you like. However, if you are going on an excursion, the booklet usually tells you what to wear, e.g. walking shoes, swimsuit, etc.

I have never worn( for more than 5 mins) or owned a pair of jeans - material is too heavy and my shape is not suited to jeans.
Anyway who wants to wear what everyone else wears?
Thinking about it, there are very few family members who wear jeans

Good suggestion Lisa - anything has to be lighter than jeans.

I usually wear a short sundress or cover-up over my bathing suit, as most of my excursions include some sort of swimming.
Oh, and do not buy new walking shoes! Make sure you take ones that are already worn in!

Henry, since you asked why [women][ me,] would wear make up..I could ask you, why, in the heat and humidity of the tropics, would you wear jeans???
You said, you feel more comfortable....I would answer the same.

I tend to not expose too much of my body because I've had 3 skin cancer surgeries . I realize that most women (not all) wear makeup .Some very prominent choose not to .
I for one never wear cologne while many men do .Its a matter of personal taste .

My husband has some very light weight casual slacks that he wears on the ship and in ports. Jeans can be extremely uncomfortable in the heat.
Marty
P.S. I don't wear makeup when it is hot. It never stays on, so why bother.

I like to wear jean shorts. I also never wear makeup.
When going ashore in the Caribbean I usually wear shorts. Jeans would be too hot especially if you are walking around a lot.
Take care,
Mike
