Southampton, England Hotels??

Can anyone recommend a nice hotel in Southampton in the Old Town area please? We are leaving from there on the QMII and will be there two nights before.

There are a large number of hotels with a wide variety of quality, but to name a few we have .....

Jurys Inn from around £50 per room per night
De Vere Grand Harbour which overlooks the water front from £100
plus of course the chain groups, Novotel, Holiday Inn/Express, Premier Inn etc.
However in the high street there are a number of hotel/bars such as the Dolphin (Mercure group), the White Star, the Star

Out of all of them, I would say that the Dolphin is the most traditional with quality, and to be wary if you book the Holiday Inn Express. If you search for Southampton, the most likely result will be quite a few miles away, make sure you pick the "Herbert Walker Avenue, Southampton, SO15 1HJ" one.
