They also told me to book through their casino marketing on Carnival. I've done that and received a decent discount on the cabin, cash to gamble with, small gift in the cabin from the casino and free drinks in the casino after getting X number of points.

We gamble anyway so this is a nice perk for us.
Don't cruise Carnival, but cruise Princess & mostly the RCI brands. We also do a lot of gambling and have not heard of a promotion like this on Carnival's Princess or RCI ships. Is this perk just on Carnival ships?

If your CCL past guest # is in their system and you log on to CCL website to book, there are sometimes "casino" fares that are pretty good. They only run for a month or so, so you have to catch them.
We try to remember to contact the Ocean Players Club a few weeks before our sailings to let them know our booking number and sailing info.
Depending on how much you spent in the casino on past sailings, they will give you medium level or higher level freebies.
It would be nice if there were perks on the sister lines. Perhaps there are perks and were not aware.

20 years ago we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Steve Jobs. Now we have no Cash, no Hope and no Jobs. Please don't let Kevin Bacon die.
I was given the "all free drinks" card after I spent "X" amount of money in the Carnival ships casino. As long as I was in casino gambling, all my drinks were free.including alcoholic beverages and non!!! This was a good savings since drink prices are fairly steep. They also put $10 casino cash to play on - put on sail and sign card.
When I sailed it was heavily advertised if you played 1000points(which I would assume is $1000, win loose or break even), you got free drinks in the casino for the rest of the cruise. There was also some kind of upgrade after that for free drinks anywhere but I'm not sure how you earned it.
