Anyone taking the Holland American ms Amsterdam 21 day cruise to the Panama Canal starting Dec 2nd. from Los Angeles and returning Dec 23rd. to Los Angeles ?

Glad to see that someone else on the Cruisemates forum is going on this cruise, we thought we had the ship all too ourselves. We have been monitoring the forums on Cruisemates.com and CruiseCritic.com and CruiseCritics seems to be more active of the two therefore we have been more focused on that one.
True, cruisemates.com is not as active as cruisecritic.com. BUT this was posted last week by one of the Cruise Mates hosts:
"The format of the cruisemates.com website will be changing soon....hopefully this will attract more posters".
We discovered Cruise Mates about 5 years ago and it was a very active site then. In fact, we connected with people on several cruises and since have become tight friends, particularly several Aussies, some of which have visited us 8 times in 5 years!.....and we continue have weekly phone conversations.
Just curious......where in northern AZ do you live?
In answer to your question we are located in Kingman Arizona, I am a native from Burbank California but got tired of the rat race and left in 1986 and moved to Colorado for 7 years but did not know what to do with all that white stuff that seems to appear during the winters therefore when I retired we settled in a less populated area with more tolerable year round weather. The biggest problem living in a small area is my better half misses the malls for shopping but we seem to survive by stimulating the economy in California every time we are there. You cannot beat the fine dining in LA.
We are counting the days and Looking forward to meeting you on the ship.
