Well, I get to continue our "pre-cruise-warm-up-get-ready-to-party-party!" Since we didn't get to stop by Phil & Liz's on our way home, we are going to visit with them tomorrow! We should be able to come up with a plan!
What???? I'm really tired of all you Texans visiting each other and ignoring those of us from the west coast. April...Mike....why don't WE ever get together without the Texas people???

He did say he was going to do something with the bloggers. He even asked on FB how many of us would be around to meet with him. But I forgot WHEN it was supposed to happen.

Phil and Darlene, I am guessing you guys know Galveston better than the rest of us, how about planning a drinks/ dinner thing for the evening of the 13th. There must be a spot in Galveston that this close for everyone and fits our style, I am guessing most people will arrive by early evening.....

I have contacted a few places but it seems they roll up the sidewalks in Galveston on a Sunday evening!!
I did learn about a certain place next to HH that "is closed for a private function on the 13th." Hmmmm I wonder what/whose function that might be???
It seems to me that with the big event (M5 concert) going on very near HH, there may be traffic & crowds thru the evening so would we wantg to "get away" from the Strand area or stay close to where everyone will be? Is anyone staying along Seawall this trip?

Steve and I booked the Harbor House last January when we booked this cruise. At that time they only had 3 rooms left for that weekend!
We would love to join anyone that is doing a get together that weekend. There is a restaurant called, "The Spot". They have a live web cam and it can get 'fun' there!!
We did "The Spot" for our get together on the last cruise out of Galveston.
It really is a fun place. Not sure where the party will be this time but you are more than welcome to join in.
Stay tuned for details.
Wow, that's a huge project. I imagine the airport will be a zoo for awhile.

Its our understanding at this point that there will be gatherings of this motley crew on Saturday AND Sunday.
With trips to both airports scheduled right now, Saturday will be on the island after 7pm and Sunday can be about 2pm if we wait for SP to arrive here with us and then head down.
It seems JH has either missed/ignored the thread DC and I have re the bloggers gathering Saturday. OR we are all misinformed/misunderstood the plans. OR the bloggers gathering was dropped for the M5 ticketed event.
Saturday can be a bar hop thing from Tremont Rooftop to Brickhouse to The Spot.
Depending on weather Sunday can be anywhere.
