Ray, I thought you were waiting on the March 4 Magic until you knew for sure when BC5 was going to be??

Mike, I did try to get a cold at the end of last week, but I ran it off!

Hey, did anybody see this?

I'm not sure I could drink enough to make it worth it, but I could try!

Linda

I have the wrap around cabin reserved on aft Vista deck for both the last week of February and the first week of March. We are kind of doing bookings based on March 4, but that could change. It's not very clean anyway as CCL now says that two of those cabins are triples and won't let us book them. I believe they will go with 4March as the other itinerary is weak. Who wants to sail to Florida when you can go to Belize and Roatan. But that's their decision not ours. The ports aren't as important on a Bloggers. I wonder if we can get Victor transferred over?

I'm not seeing where it's going to Belize and Roatan. Looks like:

Feb. 12 - Key West, Freeport, Nassau
Feb. 26 - Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Montego Bay
Mar. 4 - same as Feb. 26

Am I looking at it wrong?

Yay Victor!

Your right--I'm thinking Mariner I guess. So ports won't matter. Carnival only goes east once a month. If they did Key West and St. Thomas that would be better than the Bahamas-IMHO. Key West is only cool stop. I think they are changing to Roatan and Belize in future.---yeah looked it up they switch in May---They should just change right away, I'm tired of both of those old itineraries.

I agree. I'd like it to be Roatan & Belize, but that's not as important as being with friends. I just do not want to be on the lower decks forward anymore after the sleepless nights on the Glory with all the banging noises. Mid ship upper decks is what I want from now on!

I think I caught a subtle hint on FB about making HMC a stop for BC5.

Not sure John can make up his own iten just for us.

Well, I'm really pulling for them to set the date for BC5 any other date but March 4. There's only one week a month I absolutely can't be off work, and that's it.

Come on, Ray, I know you're on the committee.....now that you know the itinerary is the same, can't you give them a little push in the right direction?

Scurvy.....am I missing something?

Phil....I need to go read some more, I missed that part.

It was a reply from someone other than John. Not at all a certain thing. More of a "please can we go to HMC " thing.

Since most of the important stuff I have to do that week just needs to be done after the end of business on the Friday before, maybe I could come in and work on Saturday to get it all done! The ship doesn't sail until Sunday, so I could either fly in later on Sat. or first thing Sunday! I'll have to think this through, but it could be a possible solution.

Mike, I think Darlene has your cold, or something worse. She started feeling sick right after the cruise and still isn't over it, poor thing! I hope you both feel better soon.

Hey, one thing about this cruise coming up......we don't have to put a lot of thought into what we're doing in port! Anybody been to Costa Maya since they rebuilt? I'm wondering if Pez Quadro is still there, the bar with the swing seats.

Oh, it IS still there!

Pez Quatro isn't the same nor is El Faro. They built a sea wall similar to Progreso and you can no longer have structures on the beach side. So the cool places right on the beach aren't there. Again similar to Progreso the main bar, building, etc is on the opposite side of the road, but they have palpas or umbrella on beach. The water is still fantastic!!!

Well, it's kind of a bummer that they aren't right on the water now, but it doesn't mean WE can't be, right (looks like they still have beach service)? And the water is the second most important thing, so I'm glad it's still fantastic!

What's the first most important thing? Being there with all of my friends, of course.

Where there is a will, there is a way! I have no doubt you will find a way to make it work, still plenty of time to work out the details!

Starring Al Ernst will be at the local Comedy Club (home of Uncle Pearle's Tavern) just 4 miles from my house on Thursday March 31st. Tickets are a crazy $5.19 or something like that. We will be there.
Maybe this is a "Friends of Chris P" meeting.

I'm going on a wine tour bus this Sunday.....I imagine that will also be a Friends of Chris P. meeting.

Finally got a couple of brain cells to function.

On Carnival Dream we had cove cabin 2349 and 2345 would be the connecting cove balcony, IF you can get them to open it up. With that info, you should be able to figure out what's what for half of the cove balconies on the starboard side.

It looks like for sure if cove balcony cabins are connecting, that their balconies aren't. That should allow you to figure out the rest.

Linda, yes the cold is hanging on. I was hoping for a little sun to help dry things up , but instead we have rain, wind, and a first ever Tornado warning. I hope you all had save travel home. We are looking forward to November and the Magic, I am glad it is a ways off I need the rest. I doubt I would survive two weeks in a row like the one we had. Take care all, Mike

A tornado??? Wow! It's windy, rainy, and cold here too, but I sure haven't heard about a tornado. That's pretty scary, you guys take care.

And I did end up with your dumb cold! How am I supposed to taste wine this weekend if I have a cold?

Hi guys, it has not stopped raining in Nor Cal since we returned home. I sure miss the sun shine. I think my cold would go away if it would just warm up some. It will be a quiet weekend for us still on the mend. Take care all, Mike

April: B5 looks like it will be 4March or 26Feb on the Carnival Magic.

Guess what everyone! The pool is open!! Water temp was over 72° yesterday and 74° today. That's warmer than the Carnival Glory pool on 1st day. It's cool, but feels great!! The key is that it's only dropping down to high 60's at night and it was 88° yesterday. Woo Hoo! We had a 'friends of Chris P' meeting with some great mojitos and a bonfire last night! (BTW--I was in the pool before the alcohol--but more afterwards)

I'm so jealous Ray! Drinking mojitos and playing in the pool beats drinking Airborne and laying around in my robe!!

Hi April! Where have you been? I figured we would see MORE of you on here after you got your iPad. How do you like it?

So far we're still on for the winery tour tomorrow, but my girlfriend is still on the road driving back from visiting sick relatives in Arizona. She's trying to sell our tickets....if she can't we'll still go. I've been trying to rest with my cold all day in case we are going, but it won't break my heart if we don't.

Good evening, Village, from the beautiful suburbs of Amarillo, TX! For those who have never visited the area, that was an oxymoron!

The good news..... I'm feeling much better! Two days of antibiotics and (I just realized) double doses of the cough syrup w/codeine, have done wonders! For those still feeling poorly, I highly recommend the combination.

Left the DS and family at the Albuquerque airport today and will be at the Twisted Oak Ranch tomorrow! We will get to see if Snoozeman is telling the truth about that pool, or if he needs to add a heater!

Mike, I hope you see the sun, soon! Linda, it is had to be a "wonderful wino" when you have a cold. I think we're all still paying for all the fun we had, while on the ship! Guess we'll have to do it again, just to be sure!

I'll push Don in the pool tomorrow. He can judge.

Woohoo, Darlene's alive!! Glad you're feeling better! I sure wish we could all be there in the pool with you guys today!

It looks like the winery tour is on for today. It's been raining and windy (25-30 mph) all night, so I'll be putting on my boots and lots of layers. Hope the bus stays on the road!

We expect some good stories from this visit, Darlene and Ray!
