First off i just joined as i was doing some research and wanted to ask for some advice. I am going to a sales pitch gig tomorrow that is supposed to award a 7 night 8 day cruise on my choice of royal carribbean or carnival cruise. I have no intentions of buying anything but i would love to be able to take a cruise at the cost of just port fees and taxes etc. The "recording" that invited me states that they will never ask for your cc info, just wanna see that you have one w/your name on it. I know there are a lot of scams out there so i intend to keep my eyes wide open and watch out for red flags. Do you have any suggestions as to what to watch out for? seems like it's just a free promotion this company uses for advertisement... but it's almost too good to be tru. What do you think sir!?!
I'm booked on HAL Westerdam 9/21-28/13. Have posted all over looking for a gal to share an OV cabin. I put a thread up here a bit ago. I'm a DWF, who would like to share my cabin w/a great gal who can tolerate a writer w/a sense of humor! How does your match staff go about matching,if at all? I've always cruised w/either my ex or my BFF, but she wants to go to Tunisia and after reading the State Depts warnings, "good luck to her". I'm not even certain I know how to use this site What happened to good old Travel Chums?
Can you give me some insight on just how your people match one w/another?
Judi(lets go sailing)
PS: Thanksgiving is my favorite time to share with family and friends, would not cruise that day away. Now Xmas, or NYs there's another story!!
I read your artical on tipping.
What is your view with cruise lines including tips in the cruise price being paid in full before the cruise and eleminating the mandatory charge altogether after the cruise?
Paul, every time I try to get on Kuki's daily post for the Breeze, I get a warning from Avast about malwear. Also, when I went on anyway, there were only two posts about the cruise. Are Kuki and Mike simply not able to post, or is it us? Thanks for your help. Judy
