We are booked on Opera end of January 2005, now that we are booked I have just spent the last hour reading of past passengers bad experieinces. and am alittel concerned.
I am hoping things have improved since these people have cruised. can anyone give any positive feedback??????
Hi bridget:
The MSC Opera was only launched in July of this year and has only sailed from Genoa in the Med so far. It's currently mid-Atlantic on it's way to Ft. Lauderdale.
So obviousley very few reviews so far with none concerning US departures.
Read Ann Campbell's current article about it. Here's a current review: http://www.cruiseserver.net/travelpa...c_md_opera.asp
thanks Alan, do you know if the lnside cabins have twin beds that convert to queen? I was just hoping we don't have bunk beds or twin beds. I assumed a new ship would not /.
Hi Bridget:
Our inside cabin on Turandot deck had a queen bed configuration, made floor space a little tight. However the cabins are very efficient, nicely decorated, with very nice bathroom facilities. Hope you have a nice cruise experience.
Alan,
do you know what MSC policy on alcohol is? I am used to Princess and Holland Amer. that says you can't bring any onboard, but it is not confiscated if you are bringing for use in your stateroom.
thanks
Hi bridget:
I didn't take any alcohol on board, but the ship does have a duty free shop where you can buy anything you want for consumption in your cabin only.
