NCL had the buckets available last April. The price depends on the type of beer, and it is basically buy 5 get 1 free. There is a $5 deposit for the helmet. In April they were giving out free bottle openers, last year it was a free T-shirt. Hubby usually gets at least 1 helmet during the cruise, and just keeps the extra beer in the refridge in the cabin.
THank you - that is what I needed. I was thinking of having Wellwishers Bon Voyage deliver some to my cabin and the price is probably $50-60 a case which is $2 or $2.5 a beer. Trying to see if it was worth it. Thank you! Debbie
This may be bad news: I understand from reading some posts on another board, from the Jewel's TransAtlantic voyage, that Beer Helmets are not longer available. The author indicated he saw a new NCL menu being used fleetwide, and there were no helmets. I hope this is not true. On a recent Majesty cruise, my son and son in law averaged two or three per day.
I hope so! Wellwishers wants $65 for Miller 24 pack and $75 for Corona here in Houston - to be delivered on board. Thought about it but the prices above are around the same just to buy when you want it so I thought i wasn't going to do it but if they take the helmets away then it would be better deal... decisions decisions - just glad I'm going... And hoping Hurricane Rita stays away from Houston! Debbie
tomct was probably referring to something written by a fellow cruiser on our ship which docked in NY last Wednesday. NO, the helmits were not available on the transatlantic cruise, but hopefully, will be on others. NMNita
