NCL Policy on soft drinks taken on board by passengers
Hi there
Has anyone any information on the NCL policy on passenegers taking soft drinks on board there ships
We go on the Crown in October
Any advice would be welcomed
NCL only prohibits alcohol. You can bring on sodas and bottled water without a problem. Most cruisers suggest bringing it on in your carry on bag, so that it can be checked right away to make sure it isn't alcohol. If you put it in your checked luggage they may not deliver your luggage to your cabin and you will get a note to come down and open the case so that they can inspect the contents and make sure your not bringing alcohol on the ship.

As someone else noted, you can bring aboard all the soft drinks you want.
I was on Pride of Aloha earlier this month and took a 12-pack of Pepsi One aboard in my carry-on. The security people at the pier were only looking for security items (knives, etc.) and didn't even ask me to open it up, so I could have brought a 12-pack of beer aboard.
Security is tighter when returning from shore during the cruise -- then they were looking through all shopping bags.
