It's part of that Freestyle 2.0 deployment.
This is the only info I have seen on it to date.
"Past Guest Latitudes program:
A new program with various tiers rewarding both spend and frequency;
A new range of tangible, meaningful and deliverable benefits;
A staffed concierge lounge for Latitudes members. "
I have heared that NCL will change the way to get to higher Latitudes Levels, does anyone know anything about it?
What I have heared is that not only the number of completed cruises but also the amount of money spent shall be a fact.
Erik, you know it appears NCL freestyle 2.0 is going to follow somewhat in the footsteps of Celebrity. First the Champange upon arrival, the cold towels and now possible the adjustment in the latitude program to more closely follow that Celebrity does. This might be very good thinking on their part. I am sure they studied and monitored closely what features of varies programs were popular with passengers on other lines as well as NCL.
Thanks, Nita, for being the one person who stands up for NCL around here. I, for one, like this line a lot, and have a fair amount of cruising experience.
My only disturbance with NCL on Latitudes is that they have not added my past Orient Lines cruises into Latitudes status, though they said they were merging the Polo Club into Latitudes. Given what I spent in the past with Orient Lines, and what a diehard outspoken Orient Lines lover I was, I wish they'd now honor that as loyalty to NCL. So I'm cruising at just the bronze Latitudes level instead of the one above.

Because most of us like NCL better or at least I do.
Honestly Nita you make it sound as though they are modelling their business around X. I have had a bad run lately with NCL, they completely cancelled one Transatlantic cruise I booked on the Jade, to out of the blue extend the run in Europe, it's almost as though their business plan is to have no plan. Right now they are in the process of raising the rates in the surcharge restaurants, and they haven't even implemented Freestyle 2.0 or the LObster galore promotion they have milked for all it's worth. They waited until after final payment to inform us of the itinerary change they knew they had to make months prior on the Spirit. It is a mess at the moment.
I thrilled that you are all happy with the NCL product, but I am pretty sure that this repo at the end of this month will be the last one on NCL for a while. They really need to get their act together.
I know how upset you are or were and I have really tried to stay out of that part of your postings. This is something that happens all to often. It isn't just with NCL, but that isn't going to make you feel any better I know. As for copying Celebrity, I don't think that is the intent. I think they have surveyed customers plus paid attention to what others like about different cruise lines and will try to take the best from each. It just happens the first couple of perks seem to be taken from Celebrity.
