Default Hawaiian Cruise

We've booked a seven day "Hawaiian Cruise" aboard the NCL Pride of America in December of 2015. We have a question... Do they have any "Formal and or Elegant" nights aboard this cruise?
Someone told us that their "Formal Nights" consist of "Aloha Shirts and Shorts". That sound about right...Does anyone know? Dave & Diane...

When we sailed her back in 2006 or 2007 they had one restaurant that had formal optional nights. The rest of the ship/restaurants are casual.

Every NCL ship has Dress Up or Not Nights, or Norwegian's Night Out. You are never required to, in any dining room, on any night. You can dress up as much as you want and eat in any venue, or as little as you want on any night and eat in ANY venue except for two. Many people celebrate special occasions with cocktail attire, or like to dress up a little every night because they don't get the chance to at home, but you won't see many who dress up much beyond that. But no one will look at you strangely if you do.

Only 2 venues, the aft Main Dining Room and Le Bistro ban shorts in the evenings. Long pants and collared shirts are required for men. No open toes for men. But, the long pants can be kakhis or nice jeans, and the shirts can be polos or other casual shirts. Hawaiian, very appropriate. No ties, no jackets required. In all other venues, shorts and sandals are ok.
