Default upgrading

Hi all, We are going on the Grand the last of July. Have had our reservations for run of the ship since early March. We have a group of 13 going. Our packages are in the mail, but TA says we have not been assigned cabins yet. Isn't this unusual? We are less than 4 weeks out. Thanks for any comments.

Not unusual at all, but keep checking the website to see if you have been assigned rooms - it shoud be happening soon.

We booked a category guarantee and received our cabin assignment about 10 days before setting sail. As mentioned, just long onto the Princess.com site with your booking number, and Whala, it will probably appear. Your assignment can even happen when you arrive at the dock. This is one of the disadvantages of ROS. Have faith and start packing for a great cruise. Did all 13 cabins book ROS? You could be all over the place, not near each other. The Grand is BIG!
Bon Voyage

Joan,

I'm going aboard MV Royal Princess next Monday. As of last weekend, my cabin had not been assigned. I finally got the assignment from the "Customize your Booking" section of the Princess Cruises web site yesterday.

The longer your cabin remains unassigned, the more likely it is that you will receive a significant upgrade.

Norm.

That might not be so bad. Hunting each other down could be a great deal of fun, if undertaken with a dose of good humor, and it's also great exercise to help minimize one's "sea swell" during the cruise!

Norm.
