Unhappy California coastal-sapphire princess-alcatraz tour

Please i hope someone can advise, i am on the April 28th sailing and my husbands one wish for his 65th Birthday is to see Alcatraz.
I tried to book the Alcatraz/Sausalito tour and it's on waitlist . We are #34 on the waitlist , so does not look good.
Does anyone know of a good tour company in San Fran that does this independently . I see a few companies on line that show a similar tour but i am afraid to book not knowing if they are legit.

I am also looking for suggestions for a Airport Transfer in Los Angeles .

Thanks CK

This is the "Official" tour company.

https://www.alcatrazcruises.com/index.aspx

They do sell out fast, and tickets are available 90 days in advance. You can purchase online now for your sailing date.

I did see this one on line , but it does not say anything about the Sausalito part of the trip. Is this just the Alcatraz by itself ?
Also do you happen to know where the ship docks in San Fran ?
Thanks for the Info !!

That is just for Alcatraz only.

The ship is scheduled to dock at Pier 35 south according to this site:

Arrow Pictures of Alcatraz

I took the Alcatraz tour last year. My mom said it was her favorite thing in SF.

Here are some pictures.

We did the Princess tour to Alcatraz last Oct. If you really want to see the Rock purchase your own tickets. There is so much to see and so many stories to hear from the prisoners and guards that on the Princess tour we were given less than 90 minutes to tour and be back on the boat. The climb from the landing to the prison can be difficult, the equivilant of a 13 story building although the walk is up a series of ramps. There is also a trolley for persons less mobile. I am not certain but there could be a wait which would reduce your touring time. I would say to really see Alcatraz you need 2 to 2 and one hours. This was the best part of this fabulous cruise. San Francisco is wonderful as is Santa Barbara and San Diego. We are again booked for this cruise in Oct. Have a wonderful cruise.
