We have never cruised before and have booked a suite on Caribbean Princess for our first cruise this Summer. At this time I have us signed up for traditional dining BUT since we have a suite we get dinner at a specialty restaurant on embarkation. Does anyone know if that dinner can be switched to another night? I would hate to miss our very first night with our table mates in the traditional dining room so wondering if I should switch to anytime dining instead.
Any information would be appreciated since we are complete novices here.
We just got back from a week on the Grand Princess. We were in the owners suite. Not long after we got to our suite our phone rang and a young lady told me we were invited to a restaraunt of our choice that evening. I didn't ask if we could change nights but my guess would be no.
The first couple of nights are usually the slowest in the specialty restaurants. As word spreads throughout the cruise, or as the clock is ticking, they fill up more. That is probably the genesis of the first night bonus.
