Looking for any post cruise excursions once we get off the ship in San Francisco. Anyone know is Princess has any....not seeing any at this time.
You don't say whether you're just looking to kill a couple hours before going to the airport, or if you want to see the city.
If you're new to San Francisco, your best bet is to take a cab from the pier and check in to one of the hotels on or near Union Square for 3 or 4 days. Buy a transit pass, get a map, and have fun. Don't miss a ferry to Sausalito, Alcatraz, the park (afternoon tea in the teahouse is delightful), the new Disney museum at the Presidio, the Wharf (of course). Look in the SF Chronicle online for restaurant reviews. You're in a town where the good restaurants far eclipse ship's food. Ride the cable cars and hang off the side. Visit Chinatown and eat Dim Sum for lunch. The city is utterly unique, and if she's not already a friend, it's worth taking the time to get to know her.
There is no necessary connection between the desire to lead and the ability to lead, and even less the ability to lead somewhere that will be to the advantage of the led. --Bergen Evans
Princess did the same thing to us last year when we did a turn around in Los Angeles. For some reason they've decided that it's not worth their time to offer any tours for the few people that might take advantage or them. It was still relatively easy to find a tour company & get a tour arranged and in San Fransisco there are loads of tour companies that will not only provide a tour but also drop you off at the airport at the end of the day.
