Hello fellow cruisemates. I have a cruise booked on Emerald Princess for July to Alaska. Have not sailed with Princess. This is a grand class ship. Are all their Grand Class sips the same or are they different. Is there anything I should know about this ship? It was refurbished in Dec 15; so it will be fairly new shape. Thanks
Those ships are relatively the same, with some minor differences. For example, if you look at the Caribbean Princess, the Skywalker lounge is located in the very back of the ship, whereas on the Emerald, it's located a bit more forward.
But overall, I personally think you're going to love the Emerald to Alaska. The ship is very nice and Princess does Alaska very well.

We have sailed two Grand class ships and have enjoyed them.
Not much difference between the two.

From what I remember of my cruises on the Grand and Golden....getting to the dining rooms was a pain, and the theater always had bottlenecks due to the narrow passage entrances...other than that I enjoyed the ships and loved the pool area.
Trip, with her book & tea!
