Portable irons on RCCL's Jewel of The Seas?

Hello to all you frequent floaters My family and I are sailing on "The Jewel" next week...my question is: Do they allow portable irons on board? We do know that RCCL has laundry services however a quick touch up would be cost effective? Would love your feedback? Eddie

eddie, nope no irons are allowed. They consider them a fire hazzard.

You could try the spray de-wrinkler or take a steamer along.

Also try packing all your good clothes in the plastic cleaner bags. I've done it for years and never needed to iron....Give that a try.

And then there's always laundry service. I've used the ship's laundry many times, even if it was just for a pressing of a shirt or something. The prices are VERY reasonable (a bit less for just pressing, still good for laundering/pressing). To keep your costs down, lay out what you want pressed the day before you need it. It will be delivered to your stateroom before 5 pm the next day. Or if you forget and need it sooner, they will provide same day service for just a little more.

As for irons, leave them at home. They are a definite fire hazard...Steve

No irons...

We went out a bought a fancy steamer...nice...but really not that necessary!
They have cheap laundry service...try that.
