Years ago, I used to take a small traveling iron but now days forget it. When we were picking up our luggage after our cruise last month, there was a table covered in stuff that had been confiscated during embarking. I counted 17 irons!

Considering flat irons for hair, work just like an iron for clothes, they could not allow those soon..how they could stop a woman who needs them is another story hell hath no fury________________!

I used to take one on every cruise but have left it at home the last few trips. I've learned to pack a little better over the years so that it's not needed for the most part. Not having self-serve facilities is about my only issue with RCI given the prices for pressing and laundering on the ship.

No irons allowed. However we usually iron most clothing before hand, my husband however will not iron his button down shirts and will send them to be pressed once onboard, it is only about a dollar each to do this and is worth it. Just remember to do this the first night so they get back the next day. Compared to the prices of the drinks onboard, paying to have seven shirts pressed equals only one drink on the ship, and he looks better in the shirts than he does after all the drinks lol.

Downy Wrinkle Release (spray bottle) has replaced my iron a few years ago. I use a travel size spray bottle of my own but it easily handles the needs of a long cruise.
