Question Thinking about Navigator from NOLA

What are the highs and lows of a cruise like this? We are looking at late February, post Mardi Gras.

I've not cruised Royal before but did Celebrity last fall. Will Navigator turn me into a Royal Champion?

Highlights...The New Orleans experience, cruising down the Miss River.

Lows... Having to get of the ship. Getting on and off the ship can sometimes be a hassle.

I think these are great ships - very roomy for the number of passengers they carry. NO has access to some very nice Mayan ports, too.

I think it is a good idea - especially if NO is a convenient drive-to port for you.

Hi Bob, as it happens I'm booked on Navigator out of New Orleans on January 26 just before Mardi Gras. I've never cruised out of New Orleans before but I do have 260 cruise nights on Royal Caribbean and wouldn't go with anyone else. I know that Celebrity is billed as the Royal's upscale line but I actually like Royal Caribbean better. I've been on most of their ships and on Navigator about 6 or 7 times. I think you'll love the ship and the crew.

Any thoughts of backing up your trip to January? I've got about a dozen in my group right now and we actually chose our date so that we could catch some Mardi Gras parades before the cruise.

Rick

Hi Rick,
Thanks for the offer. My work is usually very busy (corp. tax filing) in January. Mid February is always a target date to get some vacation relief.
