We are looking for nice mix of beach time, sight-seeing and some shopping. There's tons of choices I was just looking for some input from people who have been on any of these excursions. When we went to Roatan & Cozumel we were given some great tips here on private companies that had cheaper options. And from talking to some of the other people on our cruise, better options.
Nassau, Bahamas,
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Thanks

I think it's hard, within the time that the ship are in ports, to do all three of these options, and really enjoy them all.
I think if you want the beach, do that as an all day excursion. You can combine an island tour, to get the lay of the land, and shop, in one excursion.
Nassau had great shopping on Bay St. close to the port, then, you can cab over to Atlantis, for a day of fun & shopping there..The Dig, and the Aquarium is a great way to spend the day there.
In St T, you can take the ferry over to St John beach it for a bit,and then come back and shop downtown.
IN St M..if you are the adventurous type, consider the America's Cup, or maybe a semi sub tour....ti my mind island tours in any port are interesting.

We are headed to Nassau in a couple weeks and doing a day pass through the British Colonial Hilton. $50 per adult gets you access to the beach/pool/towels and a $30 drink/food voucher each. It is the only private beach in Nassau.
There is also the Sheraton. $25 for day passes.
St Thomas- Secret Harbour and Lindquist Beach are off the beaten track beaches.
