Orlando/Port Canaveral

My next cruise will be in the summer of 2013 .One of the ports is Orlando/Port Canaveral.

My wife and I have never been to this area .We have a choice to visit the Kennedy Space Center ,Disney World or to go to a beach .

My question is what is the best place to visit for approximately a 6 hour time period ?

Disney is out of the question. Disney is 4 parks, too far, too expensive for just a peek. And that's all it would be,

We've been to Disneyland but that was 43 years ago.

Yea, I agree, not enough time for disney...Possibly the space center if their tours fit your time frame...There is also Sea World, great place to visit.

With that many people, I definitely suggest renting a van. There are several car rental companies within 3 miles of the pier. They'll pick you up and drop you off for free. It'll definitely be ALOT cheaper than purchasing any excursions, that's for sure!

The Kennedy Space Center is only about 20 miles away and is wonderful for kids of all ages.

Disney world is only 65 miles away, but you really don't have enough time for that considering you'll spend about two hours driving there and back. Same is true for Sea World.

Unfortunately, there's just alot to do in the immediate area, so you basically are limited to KSC or the beach - and there are some nice beaches in the area.
