When I came here I didn't go to CC any longer. I did sail on I believe one of the early Crazies cruises, it was interesting. Since I wasn't keeping up with y'all on CC many were helping me out with some interesting situations. It took me two days to realize that I was dining with my new hero....anyone that can cruise with his wife, mother-in-law, and new girlfriend then sit at the same dining room table is amazing. You know who you are! That's one of my early memories and thanks to those that were trying to explain it to me.....once I 'got it' I enjoyed it.

(not mentioning names....I sure hope it's funny to everyone involved by now)

wow....bet that was an interesting dinner.....

We still have the sail away watch parties on Sunday afternoon.

A few even get up early on Sunday morning to watch her arrive. It was one foggy Sunday morning in Galveston in January 2008 that contributed in forming the Crazies group.

good evening everyone!

I'm so excited about the September cruise ... I can hardly wait to go to Belize & Roatan! Cave tubing in Belize with "Major Tom" and the horseback riding & West End beach with Shirkie Bodden (family of Victor Bodden tours) and of course we will have to go practice speaking Nachi while in Cozumel! Only 89 days to go!!!

This will be our 4th time on the Conquest also. It was the first ship I wanted to cruise on, but we did the Elation because it was cheaper. This will be our third time to Belize and Roatan and we both are very excited to be going back. Come on Sept 30th.

What are your plans in Roatan? We are thinking on doing Victor Bodden again.

Getting close to me.
I have ten cruises on the Conquest, I like to say I'm Conquest Platinum.

I doubt I get to ten on the Magic as fast as I did the Conquest. I have four on her so far, but with the Disney Magic, Crown Princess, and Navigator of the Seas coming to Galveston I'll be cruising on them as 1st choice.

Ray, since I never sail with little kids I've avoided the Disney ships because of the infestation of rug rats everywhere you look ( no offense to anyone who sails with the little angels ) What is it like to be on a ship designed to cater to families with children if you don't have any little darlings with you?

The last we did Disney was on the Wonder in 2002. And truthfully, we never had a issue with the kids running and screaming. They do a amazing job of keep the kids out of the adult only area, and unless you get the stray now and then, its not a big issue.
The dining rooms could get loud and lots of happy screaming from young ones. But
we really had a great time. Just for us, without the casino, and of coarse the Extra $$$, we choose to sail Carnival now.

Dave

As I highlight on my blog: 'There are More Adult Pools on the Disney Magic than there are on the Carnival Magic'.

I have always heard what ValkyrieDave says too, that they actually enforce the adult only areas on DCL. I'll find out this year.

I'm not a buffet type person and perfer to dine in the MDR for breakfast and lunch when available (not sure I'm going to like the Punchliner brunch so much, but will wait to hear and experience).....but on the Magic, you can get a hot buffet style breakfast (though limited selections) on the Ocean Plaza by the Plaza cafe on deck 5 in the mornings........it's a great alternative to the crowded Lido buffet.......sister is a morning buffet person and she made this her starting place every morning........

Oh, and don't miss out on a complementary bowl of warm Pidgeon Pea's while enjoying a Thirsty Frog Red in the Pub.......Eric (my favorite bartender and who is on the Breeze now)....gave me and sister the recipe, but I've lost it.....I need to email him and get it again......it's a great salty snack.

Thank you Janey. We missed out cruising last year after our 1st cruise in 07 but last year was full of sadness with losing in-laws, wife's uncle and 2 very close young friends. WE REALLY need this cruise. I'll take plenty of pics to share with you guys...and video.
